Design Works

Scope of works by Black & Veatch Ltd

Cabling design by Celtic Process Control (CPC) using a preparatory design package (Amtec).

Additional design by CPC for Chlorine Gas Detection & Ammonia Dosing system in conjunction with BV.

All of the design works were in compliance with current Health & Safety regulations and best practice, IEE wiring regulations BS7671, WIMMES, DCWW Specifications and Standards with particular attention to the following; MS101, MS102, MS104, MS147, MS154, ES301, ES302, ES303, ES306, ES312, ES319, ES403, ES425, ES426 and PS102.

Health & Safety

SMSTS & FA Qualified Supervision on site for duration.

MSRA prepared for all tasks and submitted for comment by BV.

Electrical Permit Control undertaken CPC in accordance with BVV Electrical Safety Rules.

Weekly Toolbox Talks Conducted.

Mechanical engineering

Supply and Install all quality Instrumentation Sample Boards.

Synopsis

Celtic Process awarded contract and mobilised to site within two weeks.

Cable Containment Design Submitted to BV within two weeks.

Lighting Design Submitted to relevant DCWW Specs and BV satisfaction. Power and signal cabling was installed complete with suitable containment to meet the diverse needs of the individual areas on the site.

All the power and signal cables were sized according to load / length calculations with suitable protection installed.

All the electrical works were carried out to meet the current IIE Regs: BS7671 and DCWW standards.

Documentation

A full document package was produced for each area on site containing the following documents;

  • NICEIC electrical test certificates.
  • Profitrace Reports
  • Equipment & Instrumentation Loop Drawings
  • Manufacturers Inspection / Test / Calibration Certificates
